Hello there. I’m Bradley Combs of South Hill Construction.

Founded in 1960, South Hill Construction was a company operated by my grandparents for over 50 years. Today, it is with great pride and respect that I continue the name with high performance home building and property improvement.

My grandfather, Edwin "Buck" Voorheis, began teaching me when I was 12 years old. Growing up down the road (South Hill Road) with my parents and sister, Grandpa would let me operate equipment with the mindset of it's the only way to learn.

By 18, I was inspired to join the local masons union, which led to seven years of independent contracting. I also worked with my paternal grandfather and uncle, both skilled masons and home builders. In 2017, each of these men—Grandpa Buck, Grandpa Fay and Uncle Jimmy—succumbed to age and illness. I was living in Portland, Oregon and returned for their final days. It was during this time that my passion for masonry and construction grew stronger. I moved back and decided to represent the new generation of South Hill Construction.
